What follows...

...are eight watercolor paintings I made almost a decade ago. They were part of my project I graduated with from The High School of Arts. The task was to create a set of illustrations for a storybook, as well as designing the cover and all the additional page elements like vignettes, borders and stuff. Although the main source of my inspiration was the great Italian illustrator Tony Wolf, I tried to find my own style by using the splendid possibilities of the watercolor technique.

As for the book, I dare to say that this is one of the greatest stories ever written. But what makes it really extraordinary are the author's original illustrations that complement the content with genuine sincerity. I love this book the way it is and even though I had a great time creating these images I never planned to publish them. Because "the essential things in life are seen not with the eyes, but with the heart..."

Shadows Of The Past

Shadows Of The PastI did these like 5 years ago. I was working on a story of mine and drawing some of the characters involved helped me better develop their personalities. Unfortunately, the thing turned into a very complex and hard-for-me-to-draw story. So I put the treatment back on my shelf along with this huge folder of concept art and character designs, waiting for the days when I'll be able to clone myself (multiple times) and draw it the way I intended it.

And for the record - 'Shadows Of The Past' is not my project's actual worktitle.

Night at the Museum

Night at the Museum
A picture of me and some guy I met while visiting Madame Tussaud's of London. We had a small but exceptionally rich in content talk, partly because he didn't say a word, partly because I was in a hurry to join the next tour of the Planetarium...

Intro

Self-Portrait
Just to get things started, here's an old self-portrait that I recently uncovered while delving deep into my artwork archives. I'm really sorry for its bad condition and I promise to put up soon an updated version that reflects more accurately the results from my 14-week program for massive biceps...
