Well...

Drew BarrymoreI was browsing my archives, looking for something voluminous to fill the gap and not to have an "empty" month (because I can't afford to draw for fun these days, due to a lot of work and stuff) and I found this.

Dave

WatermarkI am currently reading Michael Crighton's Next and yesterday I suddenly felt like making some fan-art. So here's Dave - half-man, half-monkey, Dave's some sort of a transgenetic species. (Or whichever the right term may be.) I drew him like 10 years older than he appears in the book cuz I wanted to see how would he look like as a teenager...

Watermark

OMG, I have to put these final touches on my short film as quickly as possible... Otherwise, who knows what will be the next thing I post here...

Shadows Of The Past

Shadows Of The PastI did these like 5 years ago. I was working on a story of mine and drawing some of the characters involved helped me better develop their personalities. Unfortunately, the thing turned into a very complex and hard-for-me-to-draw story. So I put the treatment back on my shelf along with this huge folder of concept art and character designs, waiting for the days when I'll be able to clone myself (multiple times) and draw it the way I intended it.

And for the record - 'Shadows Of The Past' is not my project's actual worktitle.

Back to the Super

I Can See - Background Characters
To set up the stage for the live-action sequences of my short animation that I already presented in the three previous posts, I had to provide a considerable amount of drawn pages. Each page had to feature a different type of superhero concept with the parody being the unifying element in all of them.

Eventually, I ended up with a helluva lot of characters. Some of them will be able to make their way to the screen and obtain their 15 ... seconds of fame. But others, lots of others won't be that lucky. Here's why I decided to clean up and color a couple of my favorite sketches and put them in the spotlight through Blogger. I hope you like 'em...

ICS Preview - Part One

Uli
Meet Uli. He plays the leading part in my latest short animation called I Can See. The less-than-three-minute-long flick is inspired by Johnny Nash's greatest hit "I Can See Clearly Now" and tells the story of a drawing trying to escape from its creator.
